Romeo is a BS Computer Engineering graduate from AMA computer University East Rizal. He likes problem solving and he preffered math subjects than any subjects. He had recently work as a web graphics editor for backcountry.com.  In his spare time you would see him reading books, waching movies and sometimes playing mmorpg games. By nature he is creative, quiet and reserved.

He is also our Employee of the Week for putting a smile in all our faces. Good job, Jacob Benjamin!

Matt is already excited to have him click our Google ads, Pim has created all accounts needed for him to start and Thea made a go signal for this post.

The day shift agent are tired from work, but went directly to our meeting place at Bigby’s.

Just a bit of relaxation and we are good to go, but we need food to fuel our body for some discussions to be tackled during the meeting.

We were all excited to look at the menu book to choose the food that we would like to order. We all ended up ordering the same menu.

We waited patiently for our food.

When the appetizer arrived, everyone was happy.

However, Marlowe seems to be nervous.

Marlowe was the first to arrive in this place and the last one was also a new agent Paulina.

We discussed about Global Event in where we would want to spend it, how much budget we would need and the games we are going to play.

We also had a getting to know each other time by introducing ourselves to everyone. Then a bit of a chit chat to bond.

When all was said and done, everybody is happy.

Started last June 10, 2008, Mughnisa Murod is new in our workspace. She is under Quality Assurance Department as a QA agent. Munis, as her friends call her, is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of the Immaculate Conception, Davao City last March 2007. After graduation, she took up a special course in CISCO Networking Academy for her Networking course, which was held at the UIC, Davao City. The course has four semesters; she just finished the first semester and decided not to continue yet because she enrolled herself in a graduate school. Now, she is on her second year in the Master of Business Administration Program of the University of Southeastern Philippines, Bo. Obrero, Davao City.

As a newly employed agent, she is looking forward to be in the company for a long period of time. To reach this goal, she opts to do the tasks accordingly and effectively and show respect to her superiors and co-agents as well, traits that she naturally has. She hopes to enhance her skills and knowledge as she endeavors in the work and as she participates to the seminars and trainings that the company has to offer. She also aims to be a professional employee and an asset of the company.

Today, Munis being a career-oriented woman, she contemplates all her plans with her family. For her they are a big part of what she is today. They molded her rightfully as she is not a perfect human being and motivated her to do well. She owes many things to them and most especially to the Almighty, who gave her everything.

Rolan Batungbakal is the newest member of the Promet workforce. He started May 14, 2008 as Web Developer.

He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Geodetical Engineering. Yet, after passing the board exams, he still pursued a career as a Web Developer.

People would often get an impression that he’s an introvert. He’s quite shy and prefers to stay in the background. Nevertheless, he’s very professional when it comes to work. He’s rarely late, meets deadlines, meticulous in details, he likes to keep things simple, yet functional.

In his spare time you would see him watching Anime, Heroes or House M.D. or with a book in his hand. You can also catch him playing Ragnarok Online sometimes. That’s his way of bonding with his friends since they don’t get together much because of busy schedules.

For Rolan, his family inspires him to give his best and work hard for his future. He doesn’t want just short-term pleasures, he wants security and stability

One of his achievements that he can be proud of is that he had competed in the Philippine National Math Olympiad Team competition as a team captain. The competition involves problems that are new and challenging but can be solved if you have good analytical skills. For him, the one that ask questions (the Whys and the What Ifs) is more intelligent compared to the one who just answers them.

Jun is also sport-minded person. In fact, he was a trainer and coach of a high school volleyball team. He developed a system for offense and defense, and emphasized role-playing and camaraderie in the team that brought the team to glory. He said that the team will not work efficiently if the members will not do their part, even just the smallest part. Other than volleyball, he also plays billiards, basketball, badminton.

Other than sports, he sometimes spends his leisure time playing guitar and compose songs. He loves music and he really appreciates music of different genres. If only time is available always, he would study musical theories and will compose more songs.

Jun always sees life to be beautiful. He has been to a lot of trials but he was able to overcome them. He knows that problems may come from time to time, but he said it is up for you to face it or just simply accept that some things cannot be changed. In times of bad things happening all around him, he tries to be a lotus – be pretty even he is surrounded by black water. Jun wishes to live for 110 years even it would only cause him so much pain after all of his friends will die, while he is still alive. For him, the value of life is pain but it’s worth it. He is also open to change as long the change is for the benefit of the majority.

Jun is back to be of service to Promet again, after some rough times during the past. He is an incredibly talented Web Developer. With skills like Jun, it is a privilege for Promet to have him back.

Manilyn Sison started with Promet last week (February 4, 2008). She is our QA Philippines Manager.

She is a product of Holy Angel University (Angeles City, Pampanga), graduated with the degree of B.S. Computer Science. Typically she’s a shy person which preferred to listen and likes to learn new principles in life most of the time. Some people have wrong impression with the way she looks; Her answer to this – “I’m a pure blooded Filipina.” Her looks always seems to be a mysterious for others.

She encountered a lot of challenges, and one of this is that she had to learn and adapt quickly to whatever was required. Most of the time, she enjoyed the stimulation of new challenges. She’s definitely interested in making a long-term commitment by joining Promet Team.

Nhut is a nick Manilyn preferred to be called. She has positive outlook, never found herself bored with any Job she’s ever held. She always enjoys hard work and believe that in every company and department there are exciting challenges and problems crying out for energetic and enthusiastic solutions.

She had a good life; learned a lot and best is yet to come. Every experience in life is a lesson in its own way.

Her interest and hobbies involves playing badminton (shared same interest with Rachel Jaro). She likes to stay home most of the time.

Nhut is a very open person. She expresses herself freely and is open for suggestions. I like her attitude when it comes to work, because she is very professional in dealing it. It is a pleasure to have you on the team. Enjoy your QA tasks.

I am a person who likes to travel, to study, to read and I don´t live without my computer. to me is very monotonous living without computer and Internet. I read many magazines and books about computer science, thou I am collecting material to complete my monography in order to finish my graduation studies. These studies require from me many hours to research and write.

I live in Curitiba, Paraná, I live in an apartment with my cousin and a friend. I came from city of Registro in South Coast of São Paulo state. I try to travel there to visit my parents and my girlfriend. There is where I have some fun and my hobbies like playing guitar and keyboard.

I am taking English classes twice a week, in order to improve my communication skills. I´m not a “nerd”! lol!

Vere was born in a small town, called Sao Bento do Sul, (pop. 77.000) located in southern Brazil. There are many industries in her city, but it is famous for its furniture production. The city was colonized by Germans. Vere is 75% German, 12.5% Polish and 12.5% Portuguese. Today, there are German, Italian and Polis festivals in her city.

She likes to spend her summer vacations in Florianópolis ( It is composed of one main island, one continental part and many surrounding small islands). Because of its location and white sandy beaches, it is popular with many South American tourists. She also like to spend her summer weekends in Balneário Camboriú, another city and a major beach resort in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina.

Vere enjoys all the usual things – restaurants, sports, theater, nature, animals (She has three dogs!), the beach and watching great films. She is close to her family. She enjoys traveling, learning about different places, cultures and food. Her passion is to dance and spend time with her boyfriend, family and dogs (Zulu, Darko and Borris). At the end of this year she’ll be a MBA graduate. She studied for her MBA in Curitiba, the capital of Parana State.
It takes 2 hours by car from Sao Bento to Curitiba.

Cyrose Plaza is our newest web developer. She joined Promet Philippines last August 1, because it has been her dream to be a part of a team working on a project that would greatly contribute to the improvement on any particular problem on the client’s side.
She studied at AMA Computer College for almost four years and got a degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Immediately after her graduation, she was offered to work as a college instructor at the latter school. She was assigned to handle basic and some major theoretical subjects for the first years of teaching.
When she was teaching, she was exposed and trained to deliver public speaking, and became adept in studying lessons theoretically. Sad to say hands-on programming was not part of her job.
She worked as an instructor for almost 2 years, when she realized that she was not happy anymore. So she took the risk of resigning and start all over again with a brand new career path, and that is to become at least a programmer. This goal had brought her to the Promet Team
Currently, she is on a fast pace to cope with the technologies that had left her. Surely, this statement is true, because on her first week on Promet, she has learned PHP, cakePHP, OSCommerce, WordPress, and Drupal.
